Interesting: On CNBC Today

Message ID: 57070 Posted By: korbomite Posted On: 2003-10-30 22:59:00 Subject: Interesting: On CNBC Today Recs: 1 ...was Roger McNamee of Integrated Capital Partners and Silver Lake fame, speaking of the good news in the tech markets today and the opportunities in Web Services and "niche players." Given this: www.threenorth.com/sco/ICP.html (citation at the bottom, titled: "A Gartner Connection" begins the interesting part on Mr. McNamee) and this: www.groklaw.net/article.php?story=274 (PJ has LOTS to say about Mr. McNamee) ...the interesting thing was that Mr McNamee, today, despite SCUMX's SCOx efforts and the Vultus 'acquisition' (read: 'stock-scam-within-a-stock-scam'), did not once say SCOX, SCO or the SCO Group... NOT EVEN ONCE! Even Mr. McNamee, despite his knowledge of this stock scam, knows better than to promote it on CNBC or in public. I wish he would inform his partner, Mr. Cohen, of the dangers of such pump...

Hi Br3n!

Message ID: 56600 Posted By: freecode_99 Posted On: 2003-10-29 13:26:00 Subject: Hi Br3n! Recs: 0 I believe they can amend discovery at any time, but if they are truly asking the world to believe that they never instigated litigation against IBM, then the SEC should be pouring over their offices and every investor that has played a role in the scam. This is another example of "Hello? Can we get a Shrink to lock these folks away please?" If true, my argument for declarations of Non Compos Mentis would not be far off the mark. In fact, if that is true, it would be time for one giant white van to start loading up the execs and hauling them off for observations. That is about the only place they would have to escape one massive lawsuit after another and lots of fun jail time. I have to go check that on Groklaw. Now I am going to split my sides laughing if this is true. Then it makes all the pumpers legally liable for their statements. Unbelieveable. Bac...

SCUMX: Killing the GPL "Cancer"

Message ID: 55594 Posted By: korbomite Posted On: 2003-10-26 23:39:00 Subject: SCUMX: Killing the GPL "Cancer" Recs: 1 From Darl-ing Darl's own lying, scum-filled, thieving mouth: QUOTE "We're fighting for a right in the industry to make a living selling software," McBride said. "The whole notion that software should be free is something SCO doesn't stand for. We have drawn the line. We're supposed to be excited about that and we're not." ENDQUOTE This has no basis in fact, based on Red Hat's current market valuation, or that of IBM, SuSE, Turbo Linux or Monta Vista... ...but then a lying SCUMX shill, a Mr. Charles Lancaster contributes this gem to the debate on the CRN site: QUOTE The Linux camp can rant all they like, SCO have a strong case. If they didn't own the IP rights why did Sun pay them $90m and if they lost those rights under the GPL then the GPL really is a cancer. ENDQUOTE www.crn.com/sectio...

Lies, Damn Lies and Partisan Testimony

Message ID: 55593 Posted By: korbomite Posted On: 2003-10-26 23:16:00 Subject: Lies, Damn Lies and Partisan Testimony Recs: 4 PJ notes an interesting quote from a late-August magazine article, coincident with SCUMXForum 2003: QUOTE "After viewing the code, Don Price, the general manager of Price Data Systems, said he was surprised at the volume that was allegedly copied. 'It's compelling,' he said. 'Some people were either extremely sloppy, or copied and thought no one would go after them.'" "Neil Abraham, with SCO reseller Kerridge Computer, said SCO made the right decision to pursue IBM. 'I think they've got a very firm case,' he said, after looking at the code. 'It's not just one line. It's huge chunks.'" ENDQUOTE Now, two SCUMX VARS who have gone to great expense to be at SCO's freak show in Vegas, and just seen Darl-ing Darl's presentation...a presentation putting them on notice that t...

Deutsche is in on the scam

Message ID: 51690 Posted By: walterbyrd Posted On: 2003-10-15 08:03:00 Subject: Deutsche is in on the scam Recs: 2 7:08AM SCO Group started with a Buy at Deutsche; target $45 (SCOX) 15.53: Deutsche Securities initiates coverage with a Buy rating and $45 target, as firm views SCOX as a call option on a substantial lawsuit against IBM and the potential to capitalize on Linux; firm says the IBM lawsuit and the potential for Linux licensing deals offer plenty to be excited about, since if SCOX is successful at licensing its intellectual property then fixed costs and a small share count would create huge EPS leverage, while failure could render the shares worthless. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "walterbyrd" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 --------------...

As usual, SCOX up sharply on strongly

Message ID: 48490 Posted By: walterbyrd Posted On: 2003-10-02 09:56:00 Subject: As usual, scox up sharply on strongly Recs: 0 negitive news. Nothing new here. Amazing how anybody can see this as anything but a scam. Be interesting to see what happens around the middle of this month. Yesterday was another smart move by scox insiders: release fake news, then retract it the next day. Scox always goes up on phoney news, and doesn't fall when news is retracted or proven phoney. Insiders are making absolute fools of the US justice system. The point about the gorilla...

Message ID: 47978 Posted By: brightshiningreflection Posted On: 2003-10-01 10:38:00 Subject: the point about the gorilla... Recs: 4 stan, I know enough original sources that I don't need them digested by Nibley or anyone else. Anyone who knows anything at all about anthropology, geology, biology, history and paleontology knows how to evaluate the BOM, golden plates, translating stones, papyruses and the rest of the scam. Sorry, stan, I get to use my brain. Perhaps others aren't so free. The point of my original post wasn't to get into meaningless arguments with Mormon true-believers. The point was that the gorilla in the corner--aka the unspoken presence--in this case is the Mormon connection. I think that connection tells us alot about the case and how SCO can make such pathetic claims. It also tells us how they could have thought that a state court might swallow their bull. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo...
