All I want for Christmas

Message ID: 75610 Posted By: bill_beebe Posted On: 2003-12-24 16:22:00 Subject: All I Want For Christmas Recs: 3 Rating: 0 is a SCOX $0 stock price, or something very close to it. I think what tipped me over the fence on this issue was SCOX's claims to the header files. The SCOX management team is without a doubt the dumbest collection of suits on the planet. And when SCOX goes down in flames I sincerely hope that every "analyst" that has supported this scam company gets taken out as collateral damager. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "bill_beebe" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------

For the "longs" and other SCUMX shills

Message ID: 74861 Posted By: korbomite Posted On: 2003-12-23 01:48:00 Subject: For the "LONGS" and other SCUMX Shills Recs: 1 ...a comedic break in the action, as documented by PJ on GROKLAW at: www.groklaw.net/article.php?story=20031222232930440 Now put the milk down, kiddies, and swallow, because Unkie Korbomite is going to explain some FACTS to the longs: 1. Linus Torvalds is the ORIGINAL author and present Maintainer of the Linux (see the amazing coincidence in names? Linus. Linux. See? Hold on, it gets better.) Linux holds the 'unclaimed' copyrights to the code base and all rights to the name. A Maintainer makes the decision to put each and every bit of code and commit it to the source tree. A Maintainer is the guy or gal who says when the build is done and production ready. Linus is the Linux Team Leader. But you longs wouldn't know production-ready code if it bit you on the nose, since Microsoft and SCOG release BETA and ALPHA...

If they send the letter=Criminal

Message ID: 74447 Posted By: korbomite Posted On: 2003-12-22 13:02:00 Subject: If They Send the Letter==Criminal Recs: 10 ...under Fed Mail Fraud and RICO statutes... SCOX becomes a criminal enterprise in FACT the day they send the letter they said they are sending today, and, depending on its content and the state or states the companies are incorporated in and where the corporate headquarters are, state charges may be pending also. This is a stock scam that may become a Federal criminal case. k ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "korbomite" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------

This case make ibm/linux look good

Message ID: 73900 Posted By: walterbyrd Posted On: 2003-12-21 12:01:00 Subject: This case make ibm/linux look good Recs: 10 I think this case makes IBM and linux look good. And scox/msft/sunw look bad. IBM must not have done anything wrong, since IBM is so determined not to settle - looks good, damn good. IBM must know they can win. IBM is not scared by scox threats. IBM is on the side of right. This case also makes Linux also look good. No, Virgina, Linux isn't just a toy OS supported by bunch of hippies. Linux is serious enterprise capable OS. Good enough to scare the snot of msft and sunw. Good enough for IBM to defend tooth and nail. The linux community has been made more defiant, and it scare the scam artists. Scox/msft/sunw are nothing but stock-scam artists, fudsters, and extortionists. Their products are not good enough to compete with linux on merrit. These sleaze bags must stoop to fud and extortion to try to hold on to their market share. Since this c...

Up because it's a scam

Message ID: 72634 Posted By: walterbyrd Posted On: 2003-12-17 17:00:00 Subject: up because it's a scam Recs: 1 I don't know the particulars for today, but that is the bottom line, and everybody knows it, including the longs, and the insiders. Just a matter of how long they can keep the scam going. My guess: no longer than mid-february. Q1 will be a disaster. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "walterbyrd" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------

Alanyst - you are right

Message ID: 69536 Posted By: freecode_99 Posted On: 2003-12-09 23:22:00 Subject: Alanyst - you are right Recs: 0 Alanyst, mea culpa to you. I keep getting the impression that the SCO Group has this little safe haven zone in Utah, and that the courts are going to give the SCO group a whitewash because they are local. From the outside, Utah sure seems isolated from the rest of the world and nation. In fact, all of the pumpers eem bent on giving everyone the impression that all of the locals will not allow anything other than a verdict or decision in favor of the SCO Group (think about all of the pumper posts here). The fact is, if they were here, I think there would be a very different reaction. They wouldn't be getting honored in the press, but probably reviled or at least questioned. They seem instead to be glorified in the press there. From the outside, it looks like all of Utah is one big gambling pool and Darl is but a symptom of the disease. (not fair, but we...

Chevy, nice_stock: the crunchie position

Message ID: 67740 Posted By: korbomite Posted On: 2003-12-05 00:38:00 Subject: Chevy, nice_stock:the crunchie position Recs: 3 Okay here is how the Linux development process works: you do not get to just "contribute." Contribution to the source tree is VERY conscripted. Though the list is long, most of the contributors cannot directly commit, but instead submit "patches" that are then scrutinized and then they sign an affadavit (a document that is legal in the US) swearing that they have rights to so contribute the code they have contributed. Therefore, they and they alone are responsible for any code in the kernel under their name or that of their project. I have been through the process, as a submitter of patches to a kernel module project (not in the main kernel tree) and as a committer to another module project. The documents are very thorough, very legal, and leave no doubt that my contributions are mine AS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM....
