There should be a line of distinction between the "players" and the regular joes and janes who don't have any stake in this travesty. They are probably holding on for dear life. Finding a job in the days of the jobless recovery economy is fairly damn hard. Talking from experience, and in many ways a direct result of this scam. At least I can look myself in the mirror and know I did the right thing. That is something better than the players can say. The stuff from artemis was mirrored a long time ago. The wild, remote places where I do my research are incompatible with monitoring SCOX. I told myself last week would be my last staring into the flames of this self-immolation, its hard to drag myself away from such a gruesome spectacle. Next month, I imagine myself under the disdainful gaze of other researchers hooking half drained storage batteries together to squeeze another few minutes out of the satellite uplink so I could peruse the daily Troll count. I would argue sheepishly that SCOX is just like the ephemeral biotic communities in treeholes and palm bracts I normally study. I would like to thank all the people who gave me guidance, harsh or otherwise, as I made my first foray into the BBS wilderness. SCOX and Weird Aliens Recs: 36 It has come to the attention of several posters here that many on this board do not hold a position in SCOX. While to those of us who are Linux supporters, this seems normal, many view this as hypocrisy. And why is this? Well, I have a couple of ideas .... First, the population of the Yahoo! financial boards has been typically (from what I read) those who wish to detract or extoll their chosen stock. They only seem concerned with the price of the stock, its movement, and their own personal gains. I believe that this is a normal occurrance. And on a financial board, this is what one normally would expect. However, many here are thinking well beyond the day-to-day shenanigans of Ralph and the Three Stooges. Think about it. The major sticking point in the IBM case is discovery, and the real problem there is that SCOX was shooting their mouths off in the summer about how they had found “millions of lines of literal copying”. Now they have to backpedal from that position in front of the judge, and that just does not look good. The fact is, no matter what you feel about the contract aspects, there is no way in hell SCOX executives could ever have thought they actually possessed evidence of millions of lines of copied code.
