The questioner

Message ID: 158613 Posted By: freecode_99 Posted On: 2004-07-25 23:21:00 Subject: The questioner Recs: 7 Just another troll method. Attempt to sound reasonable and hopefully cause dissent. Hell, it's flattery. It means this is annoying the hell out of them. If that's the case, I fell like we are sending an effective and troublesome message that they do not like. The truth is always troubling to those who fear it. Let them come out with the pop psychology - it simply means they don't know what to do in the light of day. They desperately need to stir dissention or appear to be the innocent victim - they aren't. Don't fall for it - it's simply a measure of the success in getting the word out. They lost the board as a means to pump the drivel and scam. Consider it recognition that our work is meaningful and they are nervous. :) Have a nice evening. freecode ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Mes...

Greed breeds distrust and errors

Message ID: 158264 Posted By: manyhats23 Posted On: 2004-07-24 15:41:00 Subject: Greed Breeds Distrust and Errors Recs: 12 SCOX is greedy, and they needed money to pursue their "Linux Lottery". The greed has given them ability to pump and dump shares, use their stock to buy other companies, and drain the cash equity out of the pockets of the shareholders. BayStar is also victim of its own greed, as well as Royce and Guardian. What do all of these organization and individuals have in common? They let their desire for money to cloud their business sense and logic. We as uninvolved (directly) observers remark repeatedly on how these seemingly intelligent people could have made such stupid mistakes. Their lust for money has also allowed them to compound their mistakes. The difference with this group, as opposed to others who have done the same things, is that the OSS community is watching them. This board, Groklaw and people like Perens and Raymond continue t...

Yeah, I think so. Real excited. I bet the memo scam works

Message ID: 154799 Posted By: walterbyrd Posted On: 2004-07-15 21:44:00 Subject: I bet the memo scam works Recs: 1 Scox is flooding the courts with oversized memo, trying for more delay. And more code to justify even more delay. The judge reminds me of Dean Wormer from "Animal House" always threatening "just one more time" but never means it. The judge will assume that about 10% of scox's whines are based on something of substance. So the judge will give scox about half of what scox is asking for, which is exactly what scox wants. Scox can play this judge like a tune. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "walterbyrd" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------

Royce fund 'Technology Value' -18 YTD%

Message ID: 154726 Posted By: doughnuts_hmm Posted On: 2004-07-15 17:12:00 Subject: Royce fund 'Technology Value' -18 YTD% Recs: 21 Royce fund 'TECHNOLOGY VALUE' which is heavily invested in 'valuable' SCOX IP scam is down 18 percent YTD. What a pity. http://www.roycefunds.com/funds/view.html TECHNOLOGY value is managed by Jonathan Cohen who had advertised SCOX after he had bought that junk himself. As the fund web site says: << Mr. Cohen uses a disciplined value approach to invest primarily in a diversified portfolio of equity securities ... that he believes are undervalued and have potential for capital appreciation ... Mr. Cohen evaluates securities on the basis of a company's current and potential valuation, balance sheet strength, ability to generate earnings, access to capital, strength of technology, breadth of product line and barriers to entry (including patents and other intellectual property). He also considers the ...
