Investors' update

Message ID: 272493 Posted By: karl_w_lewis Posted On: 2005-06-09 07:52:00 Subject: Investors' Update Recs: 36 So, for those of you (and I assume there are not many), who are perhaps considering signing up to be bag holders for this piece of stuff stock there are a few relevant facts to keep in mind... 1) Caldera is suing IBM for having helped to "destroy" a billion dollar investment in UNIX. The claimed value of that investment is the basis for Caldera's claim that IBM is liable for billions in damages, and the stock scam is dependent upon potential bagholders expecting a piece of that pie [in-the-sky]. Any potential investor should consider Caldera's own SEC filings which indicate that the rights to UNIX which it purchased from the Santa Cruz Operation were worth, by their own accounting, a *little* less than a billion dollars... in fact, just 5.8 million dollars. see: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1102542/000104746903003091/a210179...

Who's buying scosource?

Message ID: 270323 Posted By: walterbyrd Posted On: 2005-06-01 20:30:00 Subject: who's buying scosource? Recs: 2 Everybody knows it's a scam. I know it's only $30K a quarter, but I very much doubt that even that $30K is from legitamite sales. Is msft still interested enough to throw scox a few bread crumbs? If scox refuses to tell anybody who is buying; how does anybody know that scox is selling any scosource? How do we know scox is taking the money the money out of R&D, or something? ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "walterbyrd" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------

How far till bankruptcy for SCOX?

Message ID: 270185 Posted By: drichards1953 Posted On: 2005-06-01 16:48:00 Subject: How far till bankruptcy for SCOX? Recs: 13 I find the financials they just released interesting. In just six months their assets have declined roughly 35%! This is not the sign of a healthy company. As we know the assets did not decline because of something like selling a division, as they have no divisions. How much longer can SCOX limp along? I doubt much longer. Clearly they do not have a growing customer base and the chance of them prevailing in any of the litigation they started is very, very slim. If the Courts ordered SCOX to pay for the costs related to the non-sense litigation. say DaimlerChrysler that would finish off their available cash. I cannot imagine why any company would come "aboard" SCO Group as a new customer. They might get a few existing customers to upgrade to the planned new version of Open Server, but it does not appear to be a large number. ...
