Everything we've seen in Darl's statements (reading between the lines) and SCO's association with BSF, indicates that Ralph & Darl were intending something like this from the get-go, and that Darl was hired specifically for that purpose. It probably can't be *proved*, but Darl's said in interviews that his first step in coming on board was to review SCO's assets and identify unexploited, profitable opportunities.
